Glamourous Locations on Cunard Voyages
Cruise Circle
We all love a touch of glamour, don't we? Classic British luxury cruise line Cunard offers several glamourous locations you can visit. Here are just four of them...
The Galleria Sciarra in Rome
Just a few steps away from the popular Trevi fountain, but hidden away and largely unknown itself, the Galleria Sciarra is a beautiful (and opulent) Art Noveau courtyard. Built in the late 19th century for a wealthy family and covered by a glass & iron roof, it features frescoes celebrating female virtues of strength, patience, modesty and kindness.
The Royal Alcázar in Seville
Formerly the citadel of the city (during its Islamic era), this Royal palace is an excellent example of Mudéjar style: a fusion of Christian and Islamic art created in the 12th to 16th centuries by the Muslims who remained in Christian territory after the gradual Christian reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula. To this day the upper stories of the Alcázar are occupied by Spain's royal family when they visit Seville.
The Palau Nacional in Barcelona
The 'National Palace, housing the Museum of National Art, was built in 1929, though you would be forgiven for assuming it's much older, taking inspiration from the 14th-century Spanish Renaissance. With a grand foundation, imposing columns and staggered waterfall on the approach to this magnificent building, it has long been frequented by the good and great of Barcelona's wealthy elite.
The glamorous views and glamorous people in Santorini
Angelina Jolie, Johnny Depp and Brigette Bardot are just some celebrities spotted on this beautiful island over the years. Both famous and everyday folks (like us at Cruise Circle) are drawn in by steep cliffs looking out to the blue waters of the Mediterranean, its picture-perfect, whitewashed village scenes, and volcanic beaches
Glamourous Destinations Deserve a Glamourous Cruise Line
With Art Deco flourishing and nodding to the 'Golden Era' of cruising, where it entertained stars from the silver screen, Cunard's ships are undeniably grand. Their white-gloved stateroom stewards, red-uniformed bellhops and signature 'White Star Service' delivers a refined and thoughtful service.
