'Make things interesting' may well be a large post-it on the noticeboard at Celebrity Cruises Head Office, and no doubt they've got a team of creatives working hard to deliver a slew of unique experiences.
The Bazaar - Erasing the line between ship and shore
A concept onboard Celebrity's newest ship: Xcel, The Bazaar has been designed to reflect some of the best onshore experiences from your sailing, all within this unique venue where no two days are the same
Experiences on offer will include a market featuring local artisan products, hands-on craft experiences, destination-inspired festivals specific to each itinerary and regionally inspired culinary experiences. It's a fantastic idea and, if Celebrity can pull it off authentically (Xcel's maiden voyage is November), we're convinced it will be a big draw.
The Magic Carpet - A floating venue protruding out from the ship
An impressive engineering fleet, The Magic Carpet is a special destination on each ship that it's featured, reaching up to 13 stories above sea level for superb views, a full bar and space for live music performances, not to mention a special menu for 'Dinner on the Edge' nights.
The Lawn Club - A half-acre real grass lawn at sea
Stretch out on a blanket with some pillows, or find yourself a cosy cabana and catch a live jazz concert. You can also play outdoor games (croquet anyone?) or just soak up the sun. There's even the Lawn Club Grill or The Porch, for a bite to eat surrounded by sun-dappled lawns.
Le Petit Chef - An animated dining experience
Photos can't do this one justice - you'll enjoy a specialty dining experience with 3D animation bringing your table to life.
Eden - A greater connection between you and the sea
The Eden concept is a grand, open space (11,800 feet over three levels), completely wrapped in glass for fantastic views from down below to high up above.
Featuring sensory experiences, from spontaneous performances to wine seminars, even when nothing's happening the combination of interesting design features, leafy green plants and succulents combined with the sea views makes it a great spot to spend time.
